Car Transport from Washington to New York

Car Transport Los Angeles to Seattle

Car Transport from Washington to New YorkAre you searching for car transport from Washington to New York at an affordable, competitive rate? We can help! Washington to New York may not be the most popular route even to or from the major cities, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get your vehicle moved. However, there are some things you’ll want to know and understand about shipping from Washington State to New York State, so keep reading.

About car transport from Washington to New York

To start off, the most popular route – and the cheapest, usually – is Seattle to New York City. Well, the outskirts of New York City, considering actually getting into the city proper is a challenge. And during most times of the year it’s a fairly popular route. Both cities are located along major interstate highways and there’s always demand for transportation to and from both those places.

But both Washington State and New York State are fairly large, all things considered. This means that there’s plenty of rural areas in both states. Rural transportation tends to be more expensive because carriers can’t just quickly stop in a rural area. Also, rural areas tend to be located away from major interstates, which forces carriers to take more time and spend more fuel to get there. Hence the higher prices.

It’s also likely to be a bit more expensive to ship from Washington to New York than it would California to Florida. This is because the route between Washington and New York passes through some pretty barren areas. While carriers will pass through major cities like Minneapolis, Chicago, and Cleveland, those are all in the Midwest. Between Washington State and Minnesota, though, there’s not much. Idaho, Montana, North Dakota – those areas are all barren and don’t see much auto transportation to or from them.

Because of this, carriers have to typically go longer between each new pickup or each delivery. This in turn requires higher prices, but it can mean less time waiting for delivery since there are fewer stops along the route. We recommend speaking to an agent to learn more.

Factors that will affect prices and services

We’ve already discussed how, outside of the major cities, Washington and New York aren’t all that populated. There are certainly plenty of small towns and people, but in terms of car transportation, those aren’t things that affect your price or services in positive ways.

That of course doesn’t mean carriers won’t run the route. Of course they will, they’ll go anywhere they’re needed so long as the price is right. But like we mentioned, price is going to be an important factor. During the summer months is when prices tend to increase, as there’s a lot more demand on most routes. More demand means that carriers can choose the loads they want, and not have to settle for what they can get.

This in turn drives the price up. Something that we see more on popular routes during the summer, though, is an increase of available carriers alongside available loads to ship. This doesn’t happen as much on routes like Washington to New York City, though, because it won’t see as much demand as other routes. So summer prices really shouldn’t see that much of an increase.

Other factors that could affect pricing and services come in the winter. Storms are more common up north, especially through the Dakotas and the Great Lakes region. This can result in delays and price increases during a relatively cheap time of the year for the industry, as carriers want to avoid that kind of wintry weather if they can.

On the whole, it won’t be that hard to find quality car transport from Washington to New York State. Speak to an agent to learn more as well.
