Not only that, but technology is making it easier to communicate with other drivers and with auto transport brokers, which means that auto shippers are able to keep their trucks full for longer periods and they are able to minimize their “deadhead” – how often they are traveling with open spots on their truck. More loads on a truck means less money per load, and as technology makes it easier to keep their trucks full, it means that technology is helping keep the costs of auto transport down.
