Boston Auto Shipping Still Difficult Due to Nor’Easters

Yet another Nor’easter is pummeling New England, which will make Boston auto shipping services a bit trickier.

This is the third Nor’easter in 11 days. New Englanders are already tired of the cold and the snow, but it seems like it won’t be abating any time soon. This storm is expected to dump over a foot of snow over eastern New England with blizzard conditions and winds up to 70 miles per hour.

Seriously?

What to expect with Boston auto shipping services

As of two hours ago many cities in eastern Massachusetts, particularly in the Boston area, have reported blizzard conditions. So this storm hasn’t come and gone – it’s still dumping snow as of this writing. That’s a real problem.

We’ve been covering winter storms here at American Auto Shipping for years now, and this one is no different. Snow and ice are the bane of many auto shippers; this is a big reason why southern routes are more popular in the winter months. As for your specific Boston shipping services, you can expect delays in pickup or delivery, for sure.

How long will those delays last? We don’t know, but probably a few days at the very least. New Englanders are familiar with snow, and a lot of winter shippers that service the area are from the area. So snow and ice don’t impact them as much as western or southern-based truckers. That being said, the storm will still have a detrimental impact on travel conditions throughout the region.

Because of the nature of winter shipping, prices won’t be affected too much. This storm will pass and things will go back to normal in time. On the whole, though, expect delays in your shipping services.
