The Nissan 370Z is a sports car manufactured by Nissan Motors, a Japanese automobile company. It is the most current generation of the Nissan Z-line, one of the company’s most popular sports car lines – it has been around since 1969, when the Z-line was first introduced with the Nissan Fairlady Z. Currently in its sixth generation, the Z-line has seen many iterations over the years, with commonly-known cars such as the 240Z, the 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 300Z, 350Z and now the 370Z. The Z-line is perhaps most famous for the 280, though the 350Z was one of the best-selling vehicles in the line. The 370z is quite different from the 350z, its predecessor. Featuring almost all-new designs in almost all areas, the 370z is distinct in all but the basic Z-line frame, which has always been a sports car. The current 370z comes in either a three-door coupe or a two-door roadster and features a 3.7L DOHC V6 engine capable of 332 horsepower. Models can either be purchased with a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, or a six-speed manual transmission. The 370z is slightly shorter than its predecessor: its wheelbase is almost four full inches shorter than the previous version. As Nissan’s premier production sports car designed for the everyday sports car enthusiast, the 370z comes in a multitude of models and editions – far too many to list here. However, 2014 models start at just under $30,000, making it accessible to most people interested in a sports car.
As a sports car, you’d think that the 370z would be more expensive – after all, it is based on one of the most famous international sports car lines in recent memory. But it’s not that far up there – there are many sports cars, particularly those from Italy and Britain, that end up costing a lot more than the 370z. As a sports car, the 370z is also easy to ship – you won’t pay any extra fees for its size or weight, which is incredibly helpful for you.
