Titan 1'The Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck manufactured specifically for the North American market. Though not built to rival the “Big Three” pickup lines prevalent in the U.S. (including Ford and Chevy’s pickup truck lines), it is manufactured to be an alternative to their larger styles. Introduced in 2003, the Titan has made big waves in the southern United States – the region has accounted for almost a quarter of all Titan sales since its introduction. Unlike most pickup truck lines, the Titan comes with only one engine, a 5.6L 317hp V8 that is capable of 385 lb-ft of torque. Learn more about the Nissan Titan here.

The Nissan Titan comes in seven different trim levels based on two different cab configurations. Right now, the Titan comes with either a King Cab or a Crew Cab, with the King Cab having three variants and the Crew Cab with four. The Titan’s base model, the King Cab S, comes in at $29,360 and features 168-degree wide-turn opening rear-doors, air conditioning and antilock brakes. The SV is the second King Cab trim and features all the S does plus 18″ aluminum-alloy wheels, step rails, cruise control and an AM/FM/CD player with MP3 auxiliary capabilities. the PRO-4X features a lower final gear ratio, Rancho shocks, skid plates and an electronic-locking rear differential. The Crew Cab features many of the same things in its trim levels, though the Crew Cab S – the lowest-priced Crew Cab – comes in at $31,910.

Shipping a Nissan Titan will cost a bit more than a standard car on the same route due to its additional size and weight. As a full-size truck, the Titan will cost more – just like the Ford F-350, even though it’s smaller than most American Super Duty trucks. The Titan has a curb weight of over 5,000 pounds, which is much more than a standard car and even more than a minivan like the Dodge Caravan. In order to compensate for the additional weight, which lowers an auto shippers’ fuel economy and takes up more space on the truck, they have to charge more to ship them. This is fairly standard, and will be reflected in your quotes when you receive them.
