The Chevrolet Silverado nameplate has been around since the 1970’s, when it was a single model on the old C/K lineup that GM was manufacturing. In 1998 the Silverado earned its own entire model line as the C/K was discontinued the year before. It sold well, and today the Silverado comes in many different makes and sizes. The LT, in addition to or replacing certain features available on the WT, features an electronic transfer case with rotary dial, an MP3-compatible CD player, SiriusXM Satellite Radio free for three months, power-adjustable and heated outside mirrors, power windows, premium cloth seating, 17-inch machined-aluminum wheels and OnStar with the Directions & Connections Plan for six months. The LTZ features the following, with some being in addition to or replacing features of the LT: body-color, power-folding and adjustable heated mirrors, an automatic-locking rear differential, custom leather-appointed front bucket seats, a Bose-powered sound system, USB ports and 18-inch polished forged-aluminum wheels.
When it comes to finding auto transportation for this specific Silverado model, things can get a bit tricky. Since it’s a larger pickup truck, any auto transportation company will tack on an overweight vehicle fee, which should be anywhere from $150-$300 depending on the shipping company. A good rule of thumb for the Silverado lineup is to take its model (1500, 2500, 3500) and dividing it by ten, thus giving you a rough estimate for the overweight vehicle fee you’ll need to pay your auto transportation company. The second major factor is where it’s coming from and going to, but this pertains to the pickup and delivery locations as opposed to the type of vehicle you’re shipping.
