Some of the Least Popular Places to Ship a Car

Some of the Least Popular Places to Ship a CarWhen you ship a car, larger cities tend to be more popular, while smaller towns tend to be less popular. There are many factors that can influence this, of course, so it’s more of a guideline than a hard and fast rule. These factors include geographic location, ease of access, population count, location within a metro area (or not), weather patterns, and more. The most popular places to ship a car tend to be the largest cities in the U.S., with an emphasis on Miami and Florida’s First Coast as well as Southern California and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This post is not about those. But what about the least popular places to ship a car? Well, that’s what we’re talking about today.

Some of the least popular places to ship a car

Well, there’s way too many small towns that are off the beaten path to really list them all, of course. So we’re going to focus more on geographic areas. Notably, Wyoming and the states around it are very unpopular places for auto transport services. Car transport companies want to run routes through big cities, and the largest in Wyoming is Cheyenne. Cheyenne’s population of under 60,000 residents – and its status as the largest city in the state – make it quite unpopular for carriers. It also sees low demand from customers throughout the year, which increases prices while also lowering carrier availability.

Another unpopular place to ship a car is northern New England, particularly Vermont and New Hampshire. These areas also have low populations, but they’re also rather isolated. The difference between shipping from northern New England, though, is whats around it. With the least popular places to ship a car, they’re all away from major cities. New England at least has a few that are nearby, whereas Wyoming doesn’t. This, of course, is problematic. Really, anywhere that’s away from major cities or interstates is going to be less popular than other, easier-to-access areas. Keep this in mind and adjust your expectations accordingly.

Can I get free quotes to ship my car, though?

You most certainly can. The best way to get your quotes is to fill out our free quote request form. You’ll get free quotes from top-rated companies within about an hour. Your quotes will show up in your email inbox within about an hour, with the first showing up within minutes. You can compare prices and services and also speak to an agent over the phone. More importantly, they can also help explain the cost of auto transport and why it can be so expensive. Those companies are cleared by us ahead of time, so you can rest easy knowing you’ll be in good hands. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact one of our agents any time at 800-930-7417.
