New Hampshire Auto TransportNew Hampshire is a state located in the New England region of the United States. Home to over 1.3 million residents, it is one of the smallest states by population in the region, and as such New Hampshire auto transport isn’t the easiest thing to find.

That being said, there are some advantages when shipping to the state…but not many. Auto shippers like to run routes to and from major cities in major states that sit along major routes. New Hampshire, sadly, has none of those advantages. But not all is lost! Read on to learn how you can make the best of your New Hampshire auto transport services.

A bit about New Hampshire car transport services

So, to start, New Hampshire is pretty small. And not only that, it doesn’t see a lot of demand from customers for car shipping services. And not a lot of carriers are going to want to go there because of it. That is, unless they’re compensated fairly.

That being said, the main auto shipping hub in the state is easily Manchester, which is only an hour or two north of Boston. This proximity to one of the largest transportation centers in New England is crucial to providing cheaper New Hampshire car transport services.

The main route up to Manchester is I-93, which isn’t all that major of an interstate. But, it does connect straight to the heart of Boston. This gives carriers an easy way up to Manchester without having to go far off their established routes.

Many carriers will travel north or east to Boston just to turn around again, you know. And because of that, prices to Boston tend to be cheaper than prices to Manchester. So that’s an option if you’re pressed for cash. That being said, most of the state isn’t Manchester, which means we need to discuss the more rural areas of the state.

About rural New Hampshire auto shipping services

New Hampshire is decidedly rural. And this is problematic if you’re shipping to those rural areas because rural areas just aren’t all that popular with car transportation companies or their drivers. And why would they be?

They’re out of the way, they see low demand, and as such there’s not much money to be made there. Shipping cars is expensive, especially in the overhead department. So because of that, carriers avoid it unless they can make some decent money on the shipment.

Talk to an agent about possibly moving your pickup or delivery location (or if you even have to). Rural towns that sit on I-93 or I-89 (another interstate that services western and northwestern New Hampshire) are easier to get to.

This makes them cheaper to ship to. But if you’re off a state route, it may be best to talk to your agent. Well, you should discuss your shipment either way with them, as they can give you their best advice for saving time and money. It’s part of their job, after all.
