Winter Haven is a city in Polk County, Florida, known primarily for the snowbirds that flock to the city each year. According to the official US Census estimates published in 2007 the population of the city was over 32,000, making it the second largest city in Polk County. It is a principal city of the Lakeland-Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Winter Haven is probably best known for being the Spring Training town for the Cleveland Indians, who had moved there in 2003. Cleveland moved their spring training games to Arizona for reasons unclear, and from 1966 to 1992 the Boston Red Sox used the Chain of Lakes Park for their Spring Training location (before Cleveland came).
