Westerville is a city located in both Franklin and Delaware counties, in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is currently home to a population of over 36,100 residents and sits within the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area, the third-largest in the state. Though the settlement was founded in 1810, it was not named until around 1836, and was officially incorporated in 1858. The area was once known as the “Dry Capital of the World” for its heavy resistance to alcohol, and was the site of several acts of vigilantism in the late 19th century. After annexing non-dry portions of land to the north, the ban on alcohol was rescinded for several locations in old Westerville, and in 2006 the first beer in Uptown Westerville in over 70 years was sold.

Auto Transport Tips to and from Westerville
Westerville is located a few miles northeast of Columbus and is a fairly large suburb of the city. As auto shipping carriers prefer to run routes through major cities surrounded by large metropolitan areas, Westerville should not be too difficult – nor expensive – to ship a vehicle to or from. It has several advantages that help keep the price down, namely the fact that it’s fairly densely populated and sits only miles north of Columbus proper. While the Columbus metro area is not the largest in the state, Columbus proper is the largest city in Ohio and naturally a major auto transport market for both customers and carriers.
Not only that, but Westerville sits right along I-270, which is a major beltway interstate that completely encircles Columbus and serves most outer suburbs of the city. This allows car transport carriers to easily get around the metropolitan area, often enabling them to get to multiple pickups or deliveries in a single day. This helps keep your prices lower since carriers don’t have to travel as far to service individual customers, which means lower prices for everyone involved. I-270 also connects I-70 and I-71, which are major interstate highways carriers use to get to other major cities as well. Having easy access to other routes as well as Westerville itself helps keep prices lower and pickup and delivery times quicker.
