Parma is a city located in Cuyahoga County, in the U.S. state of Ohio, and is currently home to a population of over 81,600 residents, making it the second-largest city in Cuyahoga County, after Cleveland, and the seventh-largest in the state of Ohio. First settled as a township in 1816, Parma was reincorporated as a village in 1924 and then a city in 1931, a puzzling move considering the region was severely affected by the Great Depression. World War II brought renewed interest in manufacturing to the Parma area, and the city became a major manufacturing center following the war. Though manufacturing in Parma has largely disappeared, it is today considered one of the best cities in Ohio in which to raise a family.

Auto Transport Tips to and from Parma
Parma is located in the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area, one of the largest in the state of Ohio. Cleveland, being a major city in the state and the country, tends to see a lot of auto transport traffic, and Parma sees a bit simply by extension. Auto shippers prefer to run routes through major cities along major interstates, and Parma, being so close to Cleveland, tends to see lower prices and faster pickup and delivery times through most of the year. Winter months tend to be harder to ship into and out of Parma, as snow and ice can cause delays for large motor carriers, but on the whole it shouldn’t be too hard to find a carrier to service Parma for either pickup or delivery.
Parma sits right by I-77 and I-480. The former is a major north-south interstate that connects the Cleveland area to Akron and other, smaller cities on its way to Charleston, West Virginia. I-480 is an auxiliary interstate that connects Parma and other parts of the Cleveland area to I-80 and I-90, which through Ohio basically run the same route. This is great news for you because car shipping carriers can easily get from one area to another quickly and efficiently, which saves them time and money – and that, in turn, should save you some time and money as well.
