New Franklin is a city located in Summit County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is currently home to a population of over 14,200 total residents and a part of the Akron, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area, a popular auto transport location outside of Cleveland. The area was originally settled as early as 1817 and was originally little more than a farming community and was originally known as Franklin Township. As Akron and other areas near the township grew in population, New Franklin did as well, albeit more slowly; by 1997, the official year of incorporation, the area was home to about 2,000 residents. Incorporation came from the desire to remain their own entity and to avoid annexation from nearby townships; it was then reincorporated with the rest of Franklin Township in 2003, effectively abolishing Franklin County and creating New Franklin as its own city.

Auto Transport Tips to and from New Franklin
As mentioned, New Franklin sits in the Akron, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is located within the expansive Cleveland Combined Statistical Area. As such, while New Franklin itself may not see a lot of auto transport traffic on the whole, the city is still relatively easy for car transport carriers to get to and from, and therefore tends to see lower prices and faster pickup and transit times to and from the city. The reason why is because auto transport carriers prefer to run routes into and out of large metropolitan areas, even if their specific pickup and delivery locations are in smaller towns.
This is mainly because major metro areas tend to be easy for carriers to get into and out of thanks to their connections to the Interstate Highway System. New Franklin doesn’t sit directly along any major interstates, but several of them service the Akron metro area and connect New Franklin to them via state highways. Carriers don’t always like traveling along state highways to get to and from places, as it takes them away from their normally-established routes more often than not, so it may be better if you move your pickup or delivery location out of New Franklin and somewhere more easily accessible to your auto transport company, but that’s at their discretion. We recommend speaking to them about it.
