Hamilton 1Hamilton is a city in and is also the county seat of Butler County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. Currently home to a population of over 62,400 residents, Hamilton is the second-largest city in the Cincinnati Metropolitan Statistical Area. Hamilton was founded as early as 1791, though at the time it was little more than an army fort, which was used as a base of operations during the Northwest Indian War. By 1800 the fort had largely been abandoned by the military, though residents that had come to the area during the decade prior turned the area into an agricultural and trading center in the region, and by 1803 the town was platted and named.

Auto Transport Tips to and from Hamilton

Hamilton, as mentioned, is a part of the Cincinnati Metropolitan Statistical Area and sits less than 20 miles north of Cincinnati proper. This makes it a fairly popular auto transport location, all things considered, as car shipping companies prefer to run routes into and out of major cities surrounded by major metropolitan areas. Cincinnati’s metro area is pretty spread out, and there are a lot of smaller communities that dot the Cincinnati border, and Hamilton sits a bit outside the main suburbs, though even with that you likely won’t see any major price hikes into or out of Hamilton and prices should be comparable to prices to or from Cincinnati proper.

Car shipping carriers want to not only run routes into and out of major cities but routes through major cities and metro areas that allow them to stay on the major interstate highways. The Interstate Highway System is the bees’ knees when it comes to vehicle shipping services, as they connect most every major city together in a system that is fairly easy to navigate. Hamilton doesn’t sit along any major interstate highways, but it is accessible via state highways that do connect to major interstates, and in this you should find that prices to or from Hamilton are about as much as into or out of Cincinnati proper.
