Pembroke Pines is a city located in Broward County, Florida, situated just west of Hollywood and northwest of Miami. It is the second-largest city in Broward County by population and 11th largest in the state of Florida, with a population of over 154,000 residents. The city itself is rather new; founded not long after the end of World War II, and incorporated in 1960, Pembroke Pines began as a primarily agricultural town. Named after the nearby Pembroke Road, in addition to the many pine trees in the area, Pembroke Pines started slow, but after incorporation as a city in 1960 the population began to boom. Growth was steady and stable until the early 1990’s, when Hurricane Andrew made landfall. In an attempt to outrun the storm, many residents of more southern Florida cities moved north to Broward County, many of them settling in Pembroke Pines, and have stayed to this day.

Helpful Auto Transport Tips For Pembroke Pines
Pembroke Pines is a pretty large city, all things considered, and is a major part of the Miami metropolitan area. Since the entire Miami metro area is one of the most popular auto transport locations in the United States, prices in and out of the area are going to be pretty reasonable as far as auto shipping prices are concerned, which really helps when shipping on a budget. It’s also helpful that, since the area is a popular location for customers, it’s also a popular location for shippers, which generally means faster pickup and delivery times.
Pembroke Pines sits in between two fairly important routes through Florida; I-75 to the west and the Florida Turnpike to the east. I-75 is one of the main routes north to Detroit and passes through some fairly important cities on its way south, and the Florida Turnpike is a popular commercial route through eastern Florida. Both of these roads are important to the auto shipping industry and help to keep your prices in and out of Pembroke Pines that much lower. It also helps that Pembroke Pines is a popular snowbird destination – customers shipping during the fall and early winter to beat the northern winters and to hunker down in warmer climes during the coldest time of the year.
The Miami metro area is also nice in that it’s popular year-round; with mild weather and no snow really ever, auto shippers like the area because it’s easy to get around even during the slow times. This helps keeps prices relatively low throughout the year, though circumstances such as hurricanes during the late summer and fall months may temporarily increase prices.
