One of the biggest things to do is just to visit the Alamo, the site of one of the most "American" battles ever, where 300 Texans stood their ground against the entire Mexican Army...and lost. But that's OK, because it's not whether you win or lose, right?

But all kidding aside, the Alamo is really a site to behold, as are all the other old Spanish Missionaries that dot the landscape. Traveling from one to the other, you can stop off at the Six Flags Over Texas amusement park and ride the roller coasters, or head into Houston and visit one of the many country/jazz/blues clubs that dot the city. In fact, if you happen to be a fan of Stevie Ray Vaughn, you can go listen to some new music at the same place where he first played!

If you're a big history fan, there are a ton of museums that come to mind. Head down to the Dallas Museum of Natural History to see all the unique and exciting things that have happened in Texas, and when you're all done busting your brain you can go to one of the many BBQ steakhouses that Texas is famous for. On virtually every corner, it shouldn't be hard to find one.
