Auto Transport to and from Blackfoot
Blackfoot is a city in and the county seat of Bingham County, Idaho; according to the official US Census conducted in 2000 the population of the city was over 10,000. It has been named the “Potato Capital of the World” and it is the principal city of the Blackfoot Micropolitan Statistical Area, which does include all of Bingham County.
The name of the city can be traced back to trappers who had originally settled in the area in the early 1800′s. The first general store in the area was built in 1874 and in 1885 Bingham County was established; Blackfoot was named as the county seat. The county seat was originally known given to Eagle Rock (which became Idaho Falls) though thanks to a bribe the old city name was erased and it was given to Blackfoot.
